Welcome to Class! I look forward to getting to know you, so I thought I would share a bit about me. I have been teaching about 23 years and have taught classes from all school levels - elementary, middle and high school. Most of my efforts have been in the area of middle and high school math. This year is the first year for my working in science! I look forward to this work this year! My degree in college is within mechanical engineering and I worked for the GE corporation as a Jet Engine Test Engineer prior to my career change into teaching. My hope in doing so was to be able to inspire students to study math and sciences so as to be inspired to study further within these areas. I truly enjoyed my work prior to teaching and with inspiration and help it is my hope to foster many more engineers and scientists to propel our world into future dreams and realities. I am married, have a son, who has a son of his own. I enjoy family time as well as trying new things! I like the out of doors - hiking and canoeing. I also garden and bike. Quilting, woodcarving, and cooking round out my hobbies in my free time - when not playing ball with my puppy.
